Christian founded the studio in 2020, having worked in the industry for eight years prior in studios both in South Africa and London. This international cross section of experience, as well as his degree in Interior Design, provided the solid platform that has contributed to the studio's success.

Garnering not only attention from the press, Christian earned two Rising Star accolades in the first two years of the studio's opening and has since gone on to be included in the prestigious House & Garden Top 101 list of the best British interior designers.
"The recognition we have received in such a short amount of time is quite humbling. Whilst the quality of the work we produce is fitting of such titles, we still consider ourselves to be a boutique studio, mighty in our offering, but small in size."
The studio's prime focus is the residential sector, with our typical projects being "forever homes". Having worked on commercial projects in South Africa, the studio has also undertaken several key non-residential projects in recent years. In each case, we have been selected for our availability to redefine the "commercial" aesthetic and provide a softness and layering to these spaces, more akin to a residential space.
"Whilst our aesthetic is often categorised as tailored and chic, the vast majority of projects in our portfolio are family homes, designed with longevity in mind. Proving that practical living and a high aesthetic can coexist in a family home."
The studio only takes on a handful of projects each year, ensuring that each project can be followed through by Christian and a single designer from the team. Each project receives constant attention and an unparalleled level of day to day involvement in all avenues of the project timeline.
Each project starts with a floor plan. As with any successful endeavour, a well thought through plan of action is paramount. Putting aside decisions about style initially, the early stages of our design process centre around how best to make a home work. Applying objectivity to the spatial arrangement results in the best laid plans, which in turn provide the answer to the question, what is right for the home?
Thereafter, during the conceptual stage, a series of presentations and design direction meetings take place. This stage is very client centric, bringing our clients into the creative decision making process and ensuring a collaborative approach as we aim to answer the question, what is right for the client?
A period of "solo design" follows, allowing us to put together a fully formed and considered design for the whole home. Combining the answers to what is right for the home and what is right for the client to establish a style that works for both.
We do not profess to have a house style, rather working closely with our clients to establish a design direction that is unique to them and their home. Our designs are timeless and considered, regardless of style.
The studio is made up of a team of 10, whose roles range from Project Leads and Design Assistants to Technical Designers, all of whom have well rounded expertise and the ability to deliver on the conceptual, creative, technical and practical requirements of the job.
Christian remains the main point of call for all the studio's projects, working alongside a designer throughout the length of a project. Each designer works on one project at a time. This relationship ensures that every client receives uninterrupted focus from the team, whilst giving Christian the bandwidth to retain and nurture the creative vision across all live projects.
